Erika “Birdie” Shavers is a native Chicagoan who is an exemplar golfer who empowers women and youth golfers through coaching and infectious passion for the sport! Birdie’s affinity for golf began on the #WiiSports video game, which later grew into a passion after she got on the green and learned what golf was all about.⁣

⁣Today, she is the Assistant Program Director and Volunteer Coordinator for First Tee Greater Chicago, Founder of the #LadiesOnTheGreen golf league, and contributor to the book “A Purpose Driven Woman: 14 Memoirs on Becoming Fearless and Intentional”.
